Sarah Prabhu, the Programs Manager grew up in India. She and her family lived in various countries around the world and have now settled in sunny California. Her background is in Clinical Biochemistry and Biotechnology. When her loved ones started experiencing emotional health struggles, she reached out to NAMI. She is grateful for the support she received at NAMI and so felt compelled give back.

She began her journey at NAMI-Santa Clara County as a volunter at the Helpline while teaching NAMI Basics class and facilitating family groups for the Transition Age Youth (TAY) families and a faith-based family support group called “Families of Vision”.

In her current capacity as the Programs Manager, she supports the executive director in fulfilling NAMI-Santa Clara County’s mission and oversees the Community Peer Program, Peer-To-Peer education program, Connection Recovery Support Groups and the Helpline. In her spare time, she likes to cook, go on hikes with friends and spend time with her wonderful family.
