NAMI-SCC can conduct a FREE PRESENTATION for you!

In this presentation, we discuss mental health, stigma, and resources to support you and your loved once.

One in five adults experiences a mental health condition each year. This means mental illness stigma affects a significant chunk of the American population. Stigma remains one of the greatest barriers to treatment. The average delay between the onset of mental health symptoms and treatment is 8 to 10 years. The perception of mental illness won’t change if we don’t take action. Talk about mental health conditions and learn how you can make a difference to support others.

We Offer
Ending The Silence

Mental Health Parity

Mental health care is covered at the same level as other health conditions. In California, the law requires that commercial insurance plans provide the same level of coverage for mental health services as they do for physical health services. Unfortunately, many people don’t know their rights to care and coverage. This presentation is designed for general community members/groups with private insurance.
