Sasmita Mishra, the Webmaster, brings over 20 years of experience in the high-tech industry in San Jose Bay Area. Originally from India, she earned her postgraduate degree in Statistics before relocating to Silicon Valley. There, she developed a passion for computer science and earned a Master’s degree at San Jose State University. Sasmita has since worked as a software engineer at several prominent tech companies before joining NAMI-SCC.
Sasmita became involved with NAMI in 2016, when she witnessed a loved one facing emotional and mental health challenges. Along with her husband, she participated in the NAMI Family-to-Family program and attended several NAMI family support groups. She is deeply grateful for the support and education provided by NAMI-SCC..
When she learned of an opportunity to contribute her skills to the NAMI-SCC website, she was excited to give back to an organization that holds great meaning for her family and her.
In her free time, Sasmita enjoys cooking, gardening and spending quality moments with her family and friends.
