Rachel has been living in recovery from depression and anxiety for the last 15 years. She developed a passion for mental health awareness and a passion for letting others know they’re not alone in their struggles, by being open and vulnerable on social media.
She began public speaking in 2021, where local gyms started asking her to speak to people who were struggling during the pandemic. In 2022, Rachel took the NAMI Peer-To-Peer class and then became an Ending The Silence” presenter as well as an “In Our Own Voice” presenter.
She is very passionate about sharing her story, and letting people know that there is hope and that recovery is possible! She is excited about this new role with NAMI!
She is currently attending Jessup University to complete her Bachelors degree in Psychology. In her free time she loves to write, hike in the redwoods, and is also a U-Jam Fitness instructor at 24 hour fitness.
