A massive THANK YOU to El Camino Healthcare District for providing a generous donation of $100,000 to fund our Community Peer Program (CPP)
The El Camino Healthcare District (ECHD) is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of the people in our community. ECHD was established by voter approval in 1956 to respond to the ever-growing health care needs of the community.
If you’re unfamiliar with CPP, our vision is to increase mental wellness and encourage independence for persons with a diagnosed mental health condition through the support of their peers. The Community Peer Program was created for those with a mental illness (Participant) who are motivated to establish stability, capacity to maintain wellness, and practice of self-care through mentorship from someone who has lived experience (Peer).
