Lisette Muniz began her journey with NAMI through Health Career Connection, in where she was a Programs Role intern for NAMI CA in the summer of 2023. Having lived experiences and journey with grief, as well as a purpose to serve her community, she later applied to NAMI SCC and is now the Community Peer Mentor Program Administrator. She is thankful for this opportunity to grow and learn, and wants to thank all people who participate in CPP for taking the time to grow and learn as well.Lisette was born and raised in Eastside San Jose all her life, with both of her parents from Guanajuato, México. She graduated from the University of California, Merced, with a B.A. in Public Health and a double minor in Natural Sciences Education and Spanish. She loves reading, dancing folklórico, and spending time with her loved ones.
