Save the Beds at Mission Oaks
Dear NAMI-SCC Community,
Mission Oaks, part of Good Samaritan Hospital, is scheduled to shut down its 18 acute care psychiatric beds on Aug, 20. NAMI Santa Clara County reached out to the hospital and our County Board of Supervisors inquiring about saving the beds and had no response. We have lost 95% of our psychiatric hospital beds in the last 60 years, and our County is short 960 beds.
Let’s show our strength. We have NAMI families from the East Bay joining us, because the loss of beds affects everyone when family members are transferred from one county to the next.
Come stand with us and wave a sign.
